Juon Pointe Mentoring Programme

Helping dancers grow strong, confident and safe for pointe.

Too many young dancers are rushed onto pointe before their bodies are ready. This often leads to injuries, frustration, and habits that are hard to undo.

The Juon Pointe Mentoring Program offers a clear, step-by-step pathway that builds strength, alignment, and body awareness. Our goal is simple: to prepare dancers for pointe safely, so they can enjoy dancing for years to come.

What makes it different?

  • One-on-one mentoring via Zoom
  • Practical tools dancers can feel and apply straight away
  • A clear, structured pathway in three stages
  • Certificates awarded at each stage

Duration: Each stage includes 6 sessions (90 minutes each).

Cost: $540.00

The Three Stages

  1. Foundations (Non-Weight Bearing)
Building foot strength, ankle mobility and correct alignment.
  2. Applying Strength (Weight Bearing)
Transferring skills to standing work, demi-pointe and proper positions.
  3. Final Preparation for Pointe
Core strength, balance, turnout and pointe-readiness tests.

Why Mentoring Matters

In recent assessments of dancers aged 9–13, the same worrying issues were found: weak intrinsic foot strength, limited ankle mobility, hyperextended knees, and pelvises out of neutral – blocking access to turnout muscles. These weaknesses make pointe dangerous.

Through mentoring, we reverse these patterns. Dancers gain strength, discover new muscles, and learn to move in ways that feel natural and safe. Many individual find it’s the first time anyone has asked them what a movement feels like, not just how it looks. That changes everything.

Our Dream for Every Dancer

The Juon Pointe Mentoring Program is about more than pointe, it’s about helping dancers truly understand their bodies, choose the best movement strategies, and dance with strength and safety.

By the end, dancers don’t just get ready for pointe, they gain knowledge and confidence that will carry them through their entire dance journey.
