Juon Pointe System and Custom Pointe Shoe Fitting Course
Do you share a passion for dancer health and wellbeing? Join Juon Pointe and gain the skills to properly prepare, assess and train dancers for a safe transition onto pointe. Learn how to fit dancers with the perfect pointe shoes – tailored to their shape, width, length and shank strength – to ensure optimal protection and support for their feet.

Do you believe in protecting the health of dancers’ feet and want to begin a part time or full time career by helping them safely transition on to pointe? We would love to have you join the Juon Pointe community by completing our comprehensive training course, where you will gain all of the knowledge and skills you need to support dancers on their journey.
Eligibility criteria:
- Health related qualifications (e.g. Osteopath, Podiatrist, etc. )
- Ballet experience, particularly in teaching
- Strong people skills
- Willingness to work at the pace of the dancer
- Qualified custom Juon Pointe shoe fitters
- Fully trained fitters who can educate dancers’ parents and, when possible, teachers
Our dedicated pointe shoe fitting centres operate an independent businesses, supported by the Juon Pointe team. These centres offer a full stock of shoes, ensuring that dancers receive the correct fit.
What We Offer:
- Qualified fitters who can deliver the Mentoring Programme, screenings and assessments for dancers.
- The ability to assess demi pointe and pointe shoes, fit shoes, write reports and keep accurate records of dancers.
- Access to a medical team, available to support fitters by referring dancers to specialists such as Podiatrists, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and other health professionals, including nutritionists and psychologists.
What Is Covered In The Course:
- The history and background of the Juon Pointe Pointe Shoe Fitting System
- Basic understanding of foot and ankle anatomy
- Assessing whether a dancer is ready for pointe, including a detailed physical and risk assessment
- Foot and ankle assessment
- Taping techniques for feet
- Maintaining records and photos of each dancer
- Fitting of pointe shoe and demi pointe shoes
- Preparing shoes for class and how to break them in correctly
- Follow-up care and monitoring of the dancer
- Presenting workshops for schools and groups
Cost Of The Course: $5000.00
A complimentary 60 minute introductory session for the course will be offered by Esther Juon before the course begins, conducted via ZOOM.
