Workshops
Juon Pointe workshops are designed to offer the highest international standards in dance health and well-being, providing valuable knowledge to young dancers, teachers, and parents. These workshops are available in small groups, one-on-one, or via Zoom, ensuring all attendees gain a strong understanding of dancer biomechanics and are aware of potential issues that could lead to future injuries.
Today, our workshops are delivered on Zoom and cater to:
Teachers: These workshops are CPD accredited and can be booked and delivered worldwide.
Ballet Schools: This course provides essential information for dancers and parents, covering key topics such as:
- What physical requirements a dancer must meet in terms of strength, placement, alignment, and balance.
- What physical attributes are necessary for a dancer to safely dance on pointe.
We also offer group workshops, which can be arranged for any group, anywhere in the world. These workshops offer an overview of the work involved in safely transitioning onto pointe.
If you’re interested in arranging a workshop for your school, group, college, or ballet shop customer base, contact Esther to set it up.
Cost of Group Workshops: $300.00
Following the group workshops, individual training sessions can be scheduled for dancers, teachers, dance medics, or pointe shoe fitters. One-on-one sessions are highly effective as they allow the course content to be tailored to each individual’s specific needs.
These personalised courses are truly life-changing for the participant, starting with our comprehensive mentoring program.
Pre-Pointe and Pointe Mentoring Programs
The one-on-one mentoring program is an excellent way to provide tailored care and support as a dancer works towards transitioning onto pointe. It’s also perfect for dancers who are already on pointe but experiencing issues with their feet or shoes.
Throughout the program, dancers follow the structured course and track their progress by completing daily exercises correctly to build strength. During each session, video clips are recorded and sent to the dancer via messenger or WhatsApp, allowing them to visualise their current technique and progress. We run a shared Google document for each session, noting what was explored and experienced, recording the participants journey throughout the course.
This mentoring program encourages dancers to take personal responsibility for their progress, ensuring they are actively engaged in their growth and development.
